Coach
After her stage career Andrée Marlière became a trusted coach for choreographers and companies. She specialised in rebuilding and rehearsing ballets so that new casts could carry the original style with clarity. Her approach was practical and precise.
She learned every role, annotated musical counts and dynamics, set spacing and épaulement, aligned tempi with the conductor, preserved mime and dramatic intent, and handed each cast a clean, stage-ready version of the work. She also trained répétiteurs and kept revivals in shape across tours and alternate casts.
